Japan's strategic oil reserves have fallen to their lowest level on record, according to Kpler data. Crude oil imports declined 66% in April amid the ongoing Hormuz blockade, Japan's Ministry of Economy said. Bridge Update The unauthorized wrapped ALPH held in the attacker's wallet was burned yesterday. 500,000 unbacked wrapped ALPH had already been sold on Uniswap prior to the burn. Alephium will supply the native ALPH required to back these tokens. For users affected by the drained bridge assets, we remain committed to making them whole and are working on the best path forward. Following the burn, the most likely path forward is now a relaunch of bridge operations. We currently believe this is the fastest, safest, and simplest solution.  Once the bridge is safely restored, users would be able to redeem through the bridge as originally intended. A separate redemption process for wALPH holders remains a fallback option if needed. The vulnerability has been fixed. We're conducting extensive review and security assessments before any relaunch, as we prioritize security over speed. This is our most likely path, though it may evolve as reviews progress. Gm everyone, the wait is finally over! We've taken in all the feedback, run a lot of hiring interviews, and worked closely with key protocol members to get to this proposal. Seb also read the proposal and supports it. Here are the big changes: Burn / buyback reduced to 0% during Phase 1. Until GNS reaches $20, the full freed buyback budget is redirected into the Growth & Marketing Treasury. The thesis is simple: at the current market cap, the 55% buyback produces no measurable price impact, so reallocating those fees into growth creates far more leverage on long-term token value than continuing to burn at this stage. Price-based step-down on the team's revenue share. At $20+, the team's rev share collapses to 15% flat across all tiers. At $30+, it drops to 0%: the team stops taking any revenue share entirely, and 100% of incremental revenue flows back to the protocol and holders. Bigger operating team, deeper trading and product expertise. We've onboarded a significantly larger structure than initially scoped, including senior hires with top market-maker, quant, and product backgrounds. To enable this without charging it back to the protocol, the team is fronting its own capital to cover the operating costs upfront. More aggressive roadmap. The team expansion lets us ship a lot more in the first 12 weeks: privacy features, deeper liquidity, risk engine rework, force-close 0DTE live, wider degen offering, design overhaul, and Phase 2 work (unified liquidity, mobile app, USDT collateral) pulled significantly forward. Slight expansion of the price-gated token mint (from 20% to 24% of supply for team + community pool), with two top tranches at $20 and $30. This is the only place the team gets meaningfully rewarded at high prices, and only if GNS actually reprices. For reference, the HL team has 24% of supply and the community pool has 31%. Smooth, peaceful handover with the current team. We've an agreement with the current team to support us throughout the transition, so the handover happens cleanly and the institutional knowledge built into the protocol is fully preserved. Net effect: stronger team, no buyback drag during the rebuild phase, full rev-share collapse to 0% as GNS matures, and team upside fully tied to token appreciation.
